If a child is thought to be at risk at home, the Department of Children and Family Services may issue a petition to have the child removed and placed in the care of loved ones. In order for the child to be returned to their home, parents or guardians must prove that the child is no longer in danger.
Child dependency cases can be confusing and frightening. We represent parents, guardians and foster parents in juvenile dependency proceedings. Our goal is to work in the best interest of the child by reuniting them with their parents.
